The International Children’s Friendship Festival committee and board members met last night to evaluate the recent Coronavirus outbreak in our State. As you know, every day brings new developments related to the virus, and the uncertainty can be unsettling. We understand that these are difficult times for families. Our hearts go out to those who’ve been impacted. After careful consideration, we decided to cancel ICFF 2020 for the safety and wellbeing of our children and community members. This was a very difficult decision, but a necessary one given the current situation. Our evaluation process involved medical and research professionals who serve in our board and board of advisers as well as following the Centers for Disease Control, the Washington State Department of Health and Public Health – Seattle & King County guidance leading the COVID-19 response.
We would like to thank you all for your time and effort. We consider ourselves fortunate to be part of a vibrant and diverse community in the Pacific Northwest. We really appreciate your support of our vision, “Peace at Home, Peace in the World.” We can’t do this without your participation and hope that you will join us next year.
